CONCIERGE CARE RIGHT TO YOUR DOOR OR WORK!
SE HABLA ESPAÑOL
Do you accept insurance? No. Here’s why….
The beauty of the Direct Primary Care model is for a number of reasons as to why insurance payments are not in the picture.
1. Does Mobile MD accept health insurance?”
No. Happily, no. While the tender mercies of an insurance company might apply to the fixing of a damaged fender on your automobile, we see no reason for any insurer to have a voice about either the quality or cost of your family’s care.
2. Relationship Comes First.
Perhaps the most critical distinction in our model of care centers on a direct, personal relationship between you and your doctor. That directness carries over to our business model as well. Decisions are made solely in the best interest of the patient. Not what’s best for the insurance companies, the employer, and their shareholders, but what’s best for the patient.
3. Savings.
Patients experience a reduction of out-of-pocket expenses meaning emergency room visits and urgent care visits go down. Improvements are seen in hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, and other chronic diseases because patients benefit from a more direct and personalized relationship with their physician. We forgo insurance payments in order to save our patients from the arbitrary, intrusive decisions that inevitably follow with third-party payors.
4. Less Corporate Burdens.
Burdens placed on Physicians by insurance companies in order to receive reimbursement are lifted. Leaving the Physician their only focus to treat the patient and not worry about checking boxes on a corporate checklist.
5. As a patient of Mobile MD, will I still need health insurance?”
Yes. We recommend our patients continue a major medical plan with a high deductible and health savings account to ensure financial help should hospitalization or referral to a specialist be necessary. We’re happy to refer you to insurance representatives who can help customize an insurance plan to your specific needs.
6. Medicare Options.
Yes. You need only sign a one-time waiver declaring that neither you nor your doctor will directly bill Medicare for our services. Medicare will still cover any laboratory testing, imaging, medications, or hospitalizations prescribed by Dr. Jenkins.

Check out our 5 star Google Review:
My husband first saw Dr. Jenkins when he was a PCP at Baptist, and connected so well with him that we searched for him and followed him to his new practice. I joined later when my PCP relocated her practice. I am a full-time working mother of two in a global pandemic, and I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to just be able to send Dr. Jenkins a text with a question. Sometimes we may need an appointment, or he can just take care of me virtually. But if there is any appointment needed, he COMES TO MY HOUSE. I don't have to travel, wait in a waiting room, and see my doctor for a quick chat. Dr. Jenkins takes the time to sit with each of us to discuss our health and needs and we so appreciate his care.
He has also been able to see me a few times I was thinking about going to urgent care, but it turned out it wasn't anything I needed to go to urgent care for, so I see that as a way I've already recouped my membership fee value back since I'm not paying those unnecessary bills.
